Why I'm Running

Watsonville is the place my family and I call home. As a community leader, advocate, wife, and mother, I believe a vibrant and thriving community is one that delivers easy access to quality parks and recreational programs for Watsonville youth and families; a community that provides job opportunities that pay well and housing that is affordable; and a community that values education and prioritizes the needs and safety of residents.

As your council member, I will support working families, seniors, youth, and businesses by prioritizing job creation, economic development, public safety, affordable housing, and the expansion of parks and trails. Together, we can create the healthy, safe, and thriving community we deserve.

I have the experience, leadership, and education to continue to move Watsonville forward. I hold degrees in Pre-law/Political Science, and Communication from Santa Clara University, and a Masters in Governance Certificate from the California School Board Association. I have represented you for the past 9.5 years on the Pajaro Valley Unified School Board of Trustees, and have served on boards and commissions including the City of Watsonville Parks and Recreation Commission for 8 years; the Women’s Commission of Santa Cruz County; the Community Action Board of Directors; the Friends of Watsonville Parks and Community Services Board of Directors, and the Pajaro Valley Education Foundation Board of Directors.

I respectfully ask for your vote, support, and partnership as we work towards a brighter future for Watsonville.
